When it comes to finding a good book, we all want something a little different. Something that isn't always cookie cutter or the exact template of other stories. That's also not a an easy feat for a writer or reader, but Alex Grayson knocked it out in Whispered Prayers of a Girl.
I''m going to try to tell you how I loved this book without giving one single detail away because I think it's one of those that you should go in blind. (I will add that if you have triggers, you should look for that warning.)
This book, ahhhh! I loved it so much. I couldn't read it fast enough because I had to know what was going to happen to these characters. You get so attached to all of them and it does not take long at all. The connection between the characters, the relationship that each person has with the other, and the way they learn life together is beyond beautiful. There are hardly words to explain it.
Also, let's add that I love books that pull on my heart strings, but I am hardly a crier. Okay, let's rephrase that... I am a crier, but it's usually at the wrong time or about something stupid. haha. And if you tell me something will make me cry, then I am 100% less likely to cry. I don't know why this is, but that's how my brain functions. This book though, I saw the tissue ready warnings and knew some bawled, but I totally teared up and could barely hold it back! That's how much this book will catch you in the feels!
This is a fantastic read and an easy 5 stars! You will fall in love with the people and story instantly!
