So, I've read a few Kendall Ryan books and I liked them because they were usually quick, sexy reads. I can only ever remember being mad about one book of hers and that was because I expected so much more and felt cheated. I'm sure that happens many times, to many readers involving many authors.
I'm sure you're trying to figure out what my point in all of this is, so here it is. I don't expect a short, sexy story from Kendall Ryan anymore. She has grown so much as an author and Baby Daddy shows that!
Don't worry, she still brings plenty of the sexy, page melting scenes, but overall her work has more depth and as a reader it makes me proud. Proud that I did not let one book I was upset with turn me away from an author who has developed her writing so much.
I loved Baby Daddy! I love the how it tells us it's okay to be an independent woman and go after what we want, but it also tells us that it's okay to be a woman who falls in love too.
I love that it shows people are not defined by their past. And that life changes. Plans changes. You never know what is going to happen next and that is okay!
This book has so much meaning behind it and I hope I get to continue reading authors and watching them grow the depth of their work just like Kendall Ryan has done!
