The Dandelion by Michelle Leighton

So, it wasn't long ago I saw a post on social media saying that Michelle Leighton was unpublishing many of her books. I was so sad and even more sad when I missed getting them before they were gone. I was afraid that she was stepping away from publishing and I would not have a chance  to read anything else from her for awhile.

Then I saw The Dandelion cover and it was piece of work done by Leighton and I was so anxious to get my hands on this beautiful thing! Really, covers with just a flower, hardly ever catch my eye as much as this one did for some reason. Let me tell you that this cover had all the reason to catch my eyes!

Abi's character was 100% relatable to me. Not on every level, but on a high level for sure.

And Simon is the epitome of book boyfriend/dream husband/ whatever you want, you name it.

Tragedies in life are unavoidable and unfortunately, all too often people are pushed to "just get over it" or to simply move on. It is not always that simple and I applaud Leighton on her ability to take tragedy into a light of hope and light, but without a timetable.

This is not a book to miss! It will make you mad, happy, cry, swoon, and smile!
